Jessica Nicholas
Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher
Jessica Nicholas is a professional dancer, choreographer and movement specialist from Melbourne, Australia. She has over twenty years of experience in teaching, coaching, performing and choreographing a variety of dance styles including Jazz, Lyrical, Musical Theatre, Heels, Dance Fitness and Calisthenics.
As co-founder of Melbourne based children’s theatre company Silverjay Productions, Jessica also has extensive experience in developing, instructing and directing beginners, children and professional performers in dance and movement for the stage.
Jessica currently freelances as a choreographer and movement specialist. She has recently returned to Melbourne after living in Mumbai, India for 14 years where she was a faculty member at the Institute of Classical & Modern Dance (ICMD), Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company and Shiamak Davar’s Institute for Performing Arts teaching Jazz & Calisthenics. Jessica also runs regular Dance Fitness & Pre-School Creative Movement classes both in person and online.
Kit Lethby
Dancer, Choreographer, Teacher
Among England’s most respected dancers, Kit Lethby was a principal/leading dancer with international companies such as Scottish Ballet, Basel Ballet, Australian Ballet and PACT Ballet. He has danced roles produced by renowned choreographers and also had many roles created for him.
In 1983 he began teaching and on his early retirement from dancing in 1988, went on to complete the Royal Academy of Dance Professional Dancer’s Teacher Training Course, from which he graduated with Distinction. Mr Lethby has been associated with Ecole Ballet and Dance Theatre for more than 28 years and during this association has seen many of the students graduate to the world’s top vocational schools. Over 70 of these students have gone on to become professional dancers.
As well as choreographing over 100 solos for competitions and eisteddfods, he has mounted various ballets for Ecole including ‘Graduation Ball’, ‘La Sylphide Act 2’ and ‘Napoli Act 3’ as well as several original works. Invited on an almost continual basis to be a Guest Teacher for Vacation Schools held by the Royal Academy of Dance around Australia and New Zealand, Mr Lethby has also taught for Royal New Zealand Ballet, Sydney Dance Company and PACT Ballet, S. Africa.
Mr Lethby became an Examiner for Royal Academy of Dance in 2004.
Rujuta Vaidya is a globally recognized Bollywood choreographer and is responsible for some of the biggest Bollywood musical extravaganzas in the Hollywood entertainment industry. In 2009, she choreographed performances at the Academy Awards 2009 (Oscars) for Grammy winner John Legend and the legendary A.R. Rahmans Slumdog Millionaire. Other choreography credits include performances for Britney Spears The Circus Tour, Black Eyed Peas The End Tour, A.R. Rahmans World Tour, Priyanka Chopras In My City, Sridevis English Vinglish and the Disney-released Cheetah Girls 3 One World. Rujuta has emerged as a leading influence in the world of contemporary Bollywood dance. She has also released hip-hop Bollywood dance workout video called BYOU2 (www.byou.com) that has her collaborating with Sabrina Bryan of the Cheetah Girls on a dance instructional video for young girls that blends both styles from the east and the west.
Krystal’s career as an actor, singer, dancer and choreographer, or “quadruple-threat”, has spanned theatre, film, television and performing in some of the biggest stadiums and arenas around the world. Select live performance and theatre credits include lead singer/soloist on Academy & Grammy Award-winning composer AR Rahman’s JAI HO WORLD TOUR, LORD OF THE RINGS, WEST SIDE STORY, and most recently, originating the role of SAROJ RAI in Mira Nair’s stage adaptation of MONSOON WEDDING (based on the hit film) at Berkeley Repertory Theatre in California. Select As an actor and dancer, TV/film credits include: PRIVATE EYES, MINORITY REPORT, WORKIN’ MOMS, HEMLOCK GROVE, HAIRSPRAY, HELLCATS, THE LOVE GURU, MTV LIVE ‘DANCING WITH THE HOSTS’, RICK MERCER REPORT and REPO: THE GENETIC OPERA.
Krystal’s other major stage performances include being a featured headlining performer for major charity events including MAC FASHION CARES in Toronto (hosted by Pamela Anderson), MACY’S PASSPORT in LA/San Francisco (hosted by Jennifer Lopez and Sharon Stone), BROADWAY IN BRYANT PARK and as an opening act dancer for artists such as ALICIA KEYS and JAY SEAN. Other industrial performances include the televised VANCOUVER OLYMPICS OPENING CEREMONIES, NEW BALANCE, SEARS AND PACIFIC NATIONAL EXHIBITION (PNE).
Sunayana Shetty
Sunayana Shetty (IND/DE), is a dancer, choreographer and educator based in Berlin. Her choreographic practice looks into the temporal nature of emotions: how they are constructed and inform behavior. She roots her work in building performative states, merging different narratives and creating intimate spaces between the audience and the performer. Sunayana has completed her Bachelor in Dance, Context, Choreography from the HZT Berlin in 2018.
In 2020, Sunayana and Aabshaar Wakhloo co-curated the AMONG US Platform https://www.instagram.com/amongusbodies/ , an initiative to tap into the joy and importance of sharing dance, movement with dancers and non-dancers alike. Since 2023, the AMONG US Platform continues to facilitate dance workshops in different cities in India. Since 2018, she has shown her works in venues at Berlin, Lithuania, New York, Mumbai, Estonia among others. She continues to work as a choreographer/performer with artists across Europe and India.
