is split across three levels. In addition to training, students receive the opportunity to perform for various organizations across Mumbai. And everywhere ICMD students perform at the Connections Fest at NCPA.

  • Foundation level is an introduction to our students to the requirements and commitment required for vocational training in dance.
  • Elementary level is a progression of the same while familiarizing students with dance repertoire.
  • Intermediate level includes training from the foundation and elementary level at more rigorous and intense

All levels work toward an RAD exam and performance within the year

Eligibility

Foundation

  • Some prior experience with western classical training. Audition required.
  • *If you have no western training but alternate experience and would like to apply, please write to us.

Elementary

  • Prior experience & audition required

Intermediate

  • Prior experience & audition required

Time Commitment

Foundation

  • Two days a week & once every third Saturday of the month

Elementary

  • Three days a week

Intermediate

  • Three days a week

Outcomes

  • A stepping stone toward vocational training.
  • Helps students develop transferable skills like time- management, dedication and commitment whilst allowing enough time in the week to focus on academic requirements. The intense structure inculcates a professional mindset at a young age.
  • Core and Supplementary modules together provide a great balance of technical training and creative development.
  • Working toward the RAD examination, which is Internationally recognised (once we return to the studio).
  • The students will have the opportunity to showcase a solo work at the end of the term.
  • Individual meetings with the student’s parents to provide guidance to help them realise their dance aspirations.
  • Written feedback from the faculty on the progress and development of the students’ training (for certain modules).
  • The students will obtain a Certificate of Completion from ICMD at the end of the program.
